Wow...Huge Double OT win for the Pens tonight in game 1. This one would have been a tough one to lose after playing 3 and a half periods but thankfully deadline pickup Samuelsson came up huge with the winner past a stellar Olaf Kolzig who was very tough to beat.

Kolzig will be motivated in this series as he is not only playing against the team that traded him away he is playing against the goalie who beat him in last years finals. This subplot should be an interesting one to follow as it looks like this series will be a battle.

The Quebec Nordique are relieved to report that Slava "Mr. Glass" Kozlov is day-to-day with an "Upper Body Injury".

Wow, big effort from the Hurricanes to rally in the 3rd to tie the game up and then win it in the 2nd round.

I would have assumed that the Sabres would destroy the 'Canes if games went to OT. I would almost guess that an more extra time efforts will take it's toll on the lineup in the endurance department

I'll be sure to get something up for the Hurricanes Sabres matchup tomorrow before the Flames game. I'll need something to distract me waiting for the 10:00PM start
