Default Flames Central

So I'm going to Flames Central tonight for the Flames game. I've been here about a dozen times. The difference about tonight is that I won't be in the lounge. It's my buddy's birthday and his sister reserved the centre ice executive suite. I heard we get six 42 inch TVs where we get to decide whats played on them. What other benefits are there for having a suite booked? Different menu? Cheaper booze?

And I didn't want to ask his sister how much it costs to book (partly because I didn't want her to ask if I was willing to chip in, and partly because it's none of my business), but I heard it can cost up to thousands of dollars.

Anyone had one of the three suites (LW, Centre, and RW) booked before? What can I expect tonight that is different from my other Flames Central experiences in the lounge?

I'm just glad that I'll get to watch the Flames game at the same time as the UFC fight!

Sorry to kinda derail this thread, but I am coming to Calgary in three weeks to visit a friend of mine and I am in town when the Flames play four games. I am going to two, but would like to watch one and wanted to check out Flames Central. But doing searching online, I found that its pretty hard to get a reservation. Is it hard to get a table on a gamenight?? Or is it possible to just walk in like 45 mins before a game to get a table?? Any info would help. I know nothing about this place but it looks pretty damn cool.

My company looked at booking one of the "Suites" for a group for a Flames game and was told it would be around $10000....

I've been in there twice, and both times were just to check it out for myself and to show a buddy what it's like. Both times were about an hour before puck drop, and we got a seat on the balcony area. That's all I can really remember... that and the $57.95 pints of peer.

No, thats Flames Central. I heard it can cost upwards of that much as well. I never asked when I went on Saturday, but the Broken Plate can cost upwards of $13,000 for a VIP booking

Really ??????? Holy Crap !!!!!!!

You can book a Super Suite at the dome for less than that.

At least you could the last time I priced them out. About a year ago.

You food/drink must be included right ??

I would think for that kind of money it should also include a happy ending.

2000 dollars I think to book one of those. I know this because there was supposed to be 40 ppl paying 50 bucks for a BOA game but like 14 ppl backed out. Not sure which one it was but it sounds about right.

Nope for sure it was Flames central.

If it was a suite at the Dome, I would have pushed REALLY REALLY hard for them to spend the $$$

I've looked into booking the private suites in the past and, if I remember correctly, the cost is $2500 to book. $1500 of that goes towards food and beverages. $1000 goes for the rental of the room.

That's my experience as well. There are 3 (I think) suites, each with different capacities. The smaller of the 3 was around $2500 - The main one was around $8000 in the summer time.

So I just got back from Calgary yesterday morning, spent about a week there. First off, you people really need to wash your cars, so many filthy cars on the road. If you can't read the license plate because there is a layer of filth on it, CLEAN IT PEOPLE!!! Anyways, I digress. I went to Flames Central to watch the Flames play the Wild, Avs and Nucks games(I went to the Flames and Avs last Thurs) and I had a great time each time I went. The place was packed, the atmosphere was wicked and I have never been to a place like that before. Service kinda lacked, and the food was meh, but in terms of watching a game, the place is second to none.

Also, on Monday night, I won a 100 GC during the intermission for Flames trivia, so that was cool.

But a big thumbs up for me for Flames Central. The goal horn after each Flames goals is awesome and really pumps you up.

If they can't read your plate you can't get a photo-radar ticket.

Plus, with snow every few days still coming down, a vehicle only stays clean for a few days. If I see snow in the forecast in the next couple of days I don't bother with washing.

On topic, I've only seen a couple games at FC, both were broadcast in HD, and the screen was awesome.

Just clean off your plate and take the damn ticket! Be a man and own up to the fact that you were going slightly over the limit, and don't you DARE go to court over it. YOU were the one speeding, so why tie up our courts because you can't follow the rules of the damn road?

That IS how we do things here on CP isn't it?

I though that when you got a ticket you were supposed to try and scalp it.

There's a huge difference between having a dirty car and having a disgustingly dirty car. Many cars in Calgary fall into the latter category.
