I have the original free EHM, not NHL:EHM if thats what your talking about. When you say a network game do you mean a league? If so I'm all for it, it would work great because I am currently looking for a league.

no, i was referring to nhl:ehm - you have to upgrade!!
and btw, deanomac, i got mine in the uk, but it is available here in canada.

I saw the game at the Walmart in Shawnessy a couple of days ago. Price was just under $50 I believe.

If you guys can't get a full league going With NHL:EHM maybe we can start one with the original. I can't find a decent league and single player just isn't cutting it for me.

Ok, so I have no clue about this, but its tweaked my interest (and when I say no clue, I didn't know this existed until I read this thread).
Is the free version still available? Or can you only buy copies now?
(I am looking for free versions as in the legal free way...not anyway other).

ok, to clarify, there is a free hockey sim game called eastside hockey manager (ehm) - its still available, and its still free (google it)
the guys who made ehm hooked up with some brits who make a great soccer manager simulator (championship manager) to create sega nhl:ehm.
now, the new (sega) version is available as a 6month trial, but thats as close as you can get.
the new sega version is available in north america, which is an accomplishment, because championship manager was only available from over the pond, and those of us in na who have it generally had to pay through the nose for it. i personally paid through the nose for a 'summertime release date' of nhl:ehm because thats when it was released in the uk, but only released in na this past october!
clear as mud? good! now go out and buy it. you wont be disappointed.

Could the legaly free version be a possiblility then if people aren't willing to pay for the full. I feel bad that it's Rico's idea and some of us are too cheap to get a full league going, but I think this would be a great idea. Let me know what you think Rico, and then everyone else
