Well hot dog, didn't expect to beat a hot Wings team. I had a few bodies back into my lineup, but didn't think I'd take down one of the CPHL's hotter squads. Ha ha Lightning, you now are officially not catching me!!!

Whoa, 8th place in the Gretzky is going to be a dogfight.

Teams 8-11 have all played 75 games and all have 35 wins.

8. Flyers 80
9. Senators 79
10. Islanders 78
11. Nordique 77

All with 35 W and 11 games remaining. Nuts.

Raycroft crapped the bed for the first time in a while. We outshot the Avalanche 24 - 20 but lost 5-2. Unfortunate way to start a back-to-back-to-back-to-back schedule. Michalek and Sykora led the way with a goal and an assist each.

Dominating effort today versus the flyers. Out shooting the flyers 37-17 and winning 8-3 was more than enough to make me happy. Holmqvist was shaky, but got the win. Van Ryn, Straka, Radivojevic, Getzlaf all had 2 points, and Richards and Gaborik both had 3. Gaborik had the hat trick, a solid effort by lines one, two, and three. Solid powerplay going 2 for 5, but only successful on 75% of the penalty kills. Good win, and are only 4 points back of the Bruins for 2nd in the league, and are 7-1-4 in last 10 games. Panthers also have the 2nd most amount of wins in the league.

Big win for the Pens to move 7 points up on 9th place. We feel we have put ourself in position now that we would have to collapse down the stretch not to get into the top 8. Joe Thornton picked up 2 points to eclipse the 100 point mark on the season, Spezza added a point and sits in 2nd in league scoring behind big Joe.

Strong performance by Tomas Vokoun in this one as the Wild were outshot by the Stars.
4 different goal scoreres- getting contributions from all lines.

Still in the hunt to get that division - but it's going to be tough with both the Blues and Hawks paying well. A first round matchup with the Kings appears to be in the cards.

Preds win and look decent enough with a 6-2 victory over the Canucks.

The win is costly though. Steve Sullivan is out for a month...he was rumoured/hoped to be shipped out before the deadline, but things will be on hold with him it appears! Hopefully by then he is day-to-day and someone takes the gamble!

Horrible effort by the team today, although it should have been expected. Both goalies were pathetic and it didn't appear as though the team in front of them did much to help them out.

It will be a tough race to finish off the season but it appears that the Flyers will have all of their high rated vets as they have not drawn any interest on the trade market.

Tomorrow night should spell the end of the Flyers run as they face a very difficult Rangers team who will be angry at the loss that Flyers GM moon lead them to today.

Leafs beat Sens 4-0.

Good game all around by the Leafs. The first line scored all the goals, including two in the 3rd period by Langkow to put the game away. The D played well and Lundqvist stopped all 22 shots.
