Default Die Cast Model Supercars in Calgary

Hey guys,

I just moved to Calgary and I'm really into cars I'll never be able to afford. Do any of you know where I can buy die cast models of supercars at reasonable prices? Usually the cars are mounted on stands and they are very detailed. I've seen them at Superstore but they only have American made cars and few low end Mercedes (in gross colours). Any information would be great!

I had a friend that was into them..."Pit Land Scale Models" rings a bell. It was a hobby shop somewhere in the NE I believe. Sorry it's been awhile, that's pretty vague. I'm sure calling a few hobby shops would give you some answers.

PM Hobbycraft has TONS, though not very well organized, and the staff was pretty useless (though very sincere in trying to help). Cars are 3 or 4 deep with different cars behind the front car, so finding a specific car can involve looking through every car, taking ones out to see the ones behind, etc..

Took me the better part of an hour to find an old Corvette one for a friend.

There is a place across the street from Peter's Drive In. It might be called 'Hobby Guys'. I've purchased a few things from there a while back and they were great to deal with. They mostly have AutoArt from what I remember.

Good luck.

Check Toys R Us as well. They used to carry some back in the day.

I assume you are looking for 1:18 scale?
