Default Rougnecks Playoff Tickets

Hey everyone,

This might belong in the "other sports forum" but I figured it can go here... does anyone think it'll be a sell-out for the game tomorrow, or can I just show up and buy tickets at the door? I haven't been in a year or two so I am not sure how their ticket operation works...

It won't be a sellout. They had sold only 6,000 tickets as of yesterday. It wasn't even a sellout when they were giving tickets away for free!

Only sellout (I believe) was when the championship game was held here in '04 when they won it against Buffalo. Man, that was a great game and a great atmosphere! That place was rocking!

It won't be a sellout, but expect a long lineup simply due to the walk-up. the Herald suggested a line as long as two hours... ridiculously optimistic (pesimistic?), but none the less, you would probably be better off getting tickets before the game, or placing a phone order to pick up at the Dome.

Myself, I'll be hitting Ticketmaster in Southcentre up tomorrow afternoon to avoid the lines.

Have any of you been able to find discounted tickets for this game? Fan 960 sent out a discount code for every regular season game.

They were able to get 18,737 people in with the ticket givaway. The attendance for the 2004 game was 19,289. The average this year has been between 10 and 13,000 (based on what I hear at the game).

Roughnecks averaged 12,211 this year, good for 4th in the league. But, like most minor leagues, attendance in the playoffs usually ends up below regular season average. 10,000 would be an excellent figure for the Roughnecks and this game.

The thing I love about the Roughnecks is that they only need 10,000 to get a good atmosphere going. But yeah, nothing is going to touch that championship game in 04.
