Default Damn it's cold!

Looking at this chart courtesy wx.ca ... I'll stay inside thank you...

And the official warning:

An Arctic air mass will settle over Alberta dropping temperatures to minus 35 to minus 40 overnight. Winds will continue to be from the north at 20 to 30 km/h. The very cold temperatures combined with the wind will produce extreme wind chill values below minus 40 tonight into Monday morning. High risk of frostbite. Exposed skin can freeze in 5 to 10 minutes or sooner depending on wind speed.

Worst of all - Tuesday is even colder.

Default Here Comes Winter

Forecast for the week looks pretty grim. The next few days are going to be in the -20s for Calgary and Mulletville. Looks like it eases up for us southies on Thursday though. Might as well fill up today. Everyone better get out their extension cords or their battery boosters.
I'd like to implore people to let their cars warm up before driving. People who drive with all their windows fogged up annoy me more than left laners. It doesn't get much stupider or more dangerous than that.
And on a side note, the up coming week is going to suck donkey balls for homeless people. The next few days are the right time for random acts of kindness.

Way to go. I stopped typing to watch the skills competition and you've made my thread a fata. I suppose a mod will just merge them...?

I assume it means people who drive in the left lane, instead of the right.

Superbowl is in Arizona on the weekend if we were smart this would have been the week to take off, go to Zona for some golf and then cap it off by watching the game and return next Monday or so.

Thursday looks great. Hopefully this is the coldest snap of the year, because I really don't like the hassle the cold puts on my day-to-day life.

Oh man, I feel for you. House training pups is bad enough in the summer.

Fortunately, puppies can be trained to chase unfamiliar vehicles across lakes that are blown to sheer ice by granular snow and a heavy wind . . . . like these mutts yesterday, before the temperature dropped. They're now getting ready for five days of cabin fever . . . .
