22 of NO's fire stations were destroyed in hurricane Katrina. None of them have been rebuilt yet.

I'm a sports fan, and I understand the significance of it, but there is no way the Superdome shoulda been done before at least a couple fire stations.

The place is still soaking wet, not a chance that anything catches fire.

Clearly the Superdome was a higher priority.
