Since your leader is a Latter-Day Saint, does this affect policy in any way?

Wow, just what Alberta needs... more right wing ideals.
On a side note, that is a horrible name for a party. It sounds like a old ladies knitting club.

Actually, that pretty much balances things out ... two RW parties and two LW parties, plus the Greens, whatever they are. I think that's balanced and should even up the vote splitting on both sides of the fence.

You could use a better website designer if you want people to take the party seriously...

Nothing brings out the feistiness like politics and religion.
I have no comment either way with the site, party or anything, but I do find it amusing how the discussion is either very right or very left, no pun intended.
there is no gray, just black and white. you're either for a party or religion or against it.

Not true ... I dislike and distrust all politicians regardless of brand. I hate 'em like I hate snakes. There are individual exceptions, and they come from all parties, but they have to prove themselves first. By default they all start on the suspect list with me.

Wow! There are a lot of gems on this site but THIS is one of my favorites:
"A Wildrose Alliance Government will double the annual number of graduates in computer science and electrical and computer engineering within five years."
You WILL major in computer science and you WILL graduate and you WILL like it because your government says so!!!!
I love Alberta politics, and the addition of these lunatics to the fray can only make for good times!

Oh wow... how about THIS one:
"A Wildrose Alliance Government will set up the Heritage Savings and Trust Fund as a separate crown corporation thereby limiting the involvement of the government of the day."
Coupled with THIS:
"A Wildrose Alliance Government will recognize that the Heritage Savings and Trust Fund belongs to the people of Alberta not the government."
That sounds okay... if it weren't followed closely by THIS one:
"A Wildrose Alliance Government will require crown corporations to be directly accountable to a committee of the Legislature for their financial management and budget plans."
And THIS:
"A Wildrose Alliance Government will institute privatization of crown corporations."
So basically... the Heritage fund belongs to the people, but it would be a crown corporation that is seperate from the government but it would also be directly accountable to the government and it would be privatized!! Great!
This is my new favourite party!! Keep up the good work you bunch of wackos!

Do we really need that many computer science grads? Whenever I look at the market it seems like companies are looking for more experienced personnel...maybe I'm looking in the wrong place...
I can just see it now...don't have enough grads? Go to the fine arts faculty and randomly pick students for the program.

I also find it funny that the very first link you see on the side isn't "information about the party", it's "Donate". Then there is some of the odd UI decisions...ugh.

I suggest renaming it the Keg Party or the Toga Party. People seem to like theme parties too. Perhaps the Golf Pros and Tennis Hoes Party would be fitting, considering the right-wing politics of the party.
Also, if you want to see a solid political website this is the best one going right now:

Looks like someone hacked together a rather amature theme for Joomla.
The index page needs an overhaul. The pictures are low resolution and washed out. Half the content is out of alignment or doesn't seem to load properly. Clicking on the logo leads to a blank space.
This is all within 1 minute of visiting the site. If you want the party to be taken seriously, especially by a younger generation, make sure your website is rock solid BEFORE launching it. Spend some money on a web design firm (at least 5000$), get a PR firm to write you some copy and get your key messages in order.
***
Some extra recommendations:
- Drop the "Gloss" style. It looks awful with your party colours.
- Use softer gradients with higher contrast on text. Grey text on a white background is irritating to read.
- Contact Icon makes no sense. It's supposed to be used to link to audio/video media (hence the CD and Film board).
- Fix the overlap occurring on the main page. This is likely due to the awful images that get pulled in. Someone needs a ruler apparently.

I wonder how they think this is possible with their other stances. Are they going to strong arm the Universities and polytechnics into letting more people into their program and then dropping the standards for graduation? Just what we need... more under qualified software developers then we have now.
