Default Axl Rose?

What the frig is wrong with this guy? I just read Slash's autobiography and he paints a picture of a man that you just cant figure out. Great songwriting talent and unique voice, wasted by his narcissism (man if that's spelled right and is in fact a word, somebody better be adding to my rep ) There has to be something more to the guy than just being a straight up a$$ , some sort of chemical im-balance? I have heard some of the tunes from Chinese Democracy and they sound great - just release the damn thing already!!! Sorry for my rant!

I'd say a better man to read about, although quite unrelated, would be the Bret Hart biography. He is a Canadian hero, but paints a grim (yet smug) picture of his backstage and family life. An incredible read.

You can draw some similarities between the situations they both have in their respective industries, but Hart isn't a jackhole like Axl is.

No question Axl is a piece of work, but until all sides have had their say and story in print it's hard to really judge went on.

Slash is supposed to be quite the piece of work as well, especially during that time.

Actually you are absolutely right. I just read a few bio's and interviews with Axl and he has been through some pretty dark stuff.
