Erin Burnett - 8 Ways to Impress Me

		| 1. Pack Your Bags Any guy who can plan a trip to an exotic locale, such as Mongolia, Mozambique, or Papua New Guinea, would impress me.

 2. Buy Me a New Atlas and Globe
You could unlock my heart by allowing me to dream up my next trip. I love to travel, and hope to eventually set foot in 100 countries. I have many more to go.

 3. Do Something Special for My Parents
Family is important to me, so round-trip business-class tickets to Australia and New Zealand for my parents would earn you big points in my book.

 4. Relax Me
Yoga keeps me calm, so I'd be impressed if you thought to send a yoga instructor to my apartment for private sessions.

 5. Help Me Work Out
Finding an exercise bike at my door would be great for rainy days when my Raleigh M80 mountain bike and I are stuck indoors.

 6. Edify Me
Reading is a passion of mine, so a gathering with a couple of my favorite authors, especially Jared Diamond (Guns, Germs, and Steel) and Robin McKinley (The Blue Sword) would make for an exceptional evening.

 7. Please My Palate
Hiring a personal chef to prepare meals for the few nights a week I am home would be unforgettable.

 8. Send Me Packing
A man who recognizes the importance of my time with the girls is a keeper. A long weekend spa getaway for my sisters and me would be perfection.

			Wow... some women...
Honestly, if you look at the headers and then put them in a context of a normal person, it makes a bit more sense. Personally, my girlfriend would rather have me come over and work out with her then send a yoga instructor to her house or buy her some super deluxe exercise bike.

But then, she's normal too.

			(1. Pack Your Bags) I'm taking her to Pugwash, Nova Scotia, (2. Buy Me a New Atlas) she can drive with the new Rand McNany Canadian Road Atlas I got for her. (3. Do Something Special for My Parents) Her parents are gonna look after my dog for the night.
 (4. Relax Me) I don't know Yoga but can have some very relaxing positions, (5. Help Me Work Out) trust me, they provide quite a workout. (6. Edify Me) After the fun positions, she can read the TV guide out loud to me, (7. Please My Palate) then read a cookbook as she makes a palate pleasing dinner.

 (8. Send Me Packing) She can find her own way home in the morning.

LOL...It's expensive enough to get down to Auckland on a cheapo flight, but multiple business-class trips for two people? Wow....I don't think that would impress just her, that would make anyone happy.
On the plus side though, looks like you can be pretty pathetic in the sack and still impress her. She must not get enough good lovin'...

I'd rather try to impress Carol Burnett. I just need a couple of good jokes and the ability to tug on my ear.

Wow, travel, food, and reading... a woman after my own heart.
Too bad for her, I'm spending the money it takes to pursue those interests on something more important -- myself.

			What impresses me:
 1. Don't be an insecure jealous loser who doesn't like it when I hang with my guy friends.

 2. Don't be an insecure jealous loser if I make more money than you do.

 3. Don't be an insecure jealous loser if my car is nicer than yours.

Actually, all this should be obligatory no-brainer stuff...

Funny thing is that the jokes' on her. It's one thing to be a 'strong-independant', classy woman ala "Sex and the City", but the line between "strong and independent" and "Feminazi" is a very thin one. To which the latter any man who isn't senile, doesn't have an inferiority complex, doesn't have ED, and isn't over 70's reaction to such a woman is "Good luck with that, see you later." That mentality drives quality men away in droves.

Wait... so this girl only gives a crap about fulfilling her dream lifestyle? But rather then doing it herself, she wants her boytoy to pay for her, her friends and her parents to have a good time.
 Talk about entitlement issues...

I thought it was a joke too.
Surely someone can't be serious about that?

She's a news anchor, how much money can she possibly make? Unless mommy and daddy pay for everything....

Wow, way to come across as a money hungry hooker. Its great that these things impress me, but there's nothing in there really about doing things together.
Send her parents on trips, send her a yoga instructor, send her a personal chef, leave the bike by the door, but don't ring the doorbell because I'm busy having a go at the personal chef and the yoga instructor. And when she's not edifying her solitary reading plans, she wants to go out with her girlfriends.

In otherwords, give me stuff, don't think your going to see me more then once a week, and when you do see me, I'm gonna lie there like a board and let you do all the work.
