Question Time-limit for PMs?

Is there a specific reason this exists?

I was trying to send off PM after PM today before the game started, and some of my links would get messed up because of the time limit.

....just wondering.

Are you checking off the "remember me" box when you log in?

Otherwise the system logs you off after 15 or 20 minutes of inactivity. And not refreshing the page leaves the system with no other way of knowing if you are typing, or left the PC.

Ummm, yes I check the box.

Due to telling people to PM me for info on how to watch the game online, I'm getting PMs like crazy.

I just need to copy and paste the info, but there is a 60 second time limit between each PM, so I have to wait.

Usually it wouldn't be a problem, but tonight it is.

Ah- I was thinking of different kind of time limit- like a time out.

Yeah, that exists so that spammers can't sign up, take advantage of the PM system to spam us. I'm pretty sure it's a global setting.

Just an FYI, posting stuff like that on the board or via PM can still get us in trouble. Even if it is via PM CP is still facilitating the transfer of information.

Even through PM?

I never posted the information on the GT, or anywhere else on the board.

Everything was through PM.

But I'll stop if CP can get in trouble. Sorry about that.

Yeah PM is still part of CP and we're still responsible to some level for the contents of PMs.

Yeah, if theres information of questionable content that you guys want to exchange....I suggest you all get on MSN or Yahoo Messenger and do it there, not via this board.

Alright, for anyone who reads this thread and is interested...email me through CP....and I'll reply accordingly.

Sorry about the mistake Mods....I did ask about it in the game-day thread, but I guess nobody noticed.
