Thought of this while cruising the 'Upcoming CD Releases' thread....I know its only april, but why not share our favorite songs of this year, already...and keep a running tab of fellow CP'ers favorite songs of the year. Here is what I have so far, in no perticular order:

Finger Eleven - Paralyzer (I am a longtime fan!)
Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah
Say Anything - Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too!
Fallout Boy - Thnks Fr Th Mmrs (Guilty Pleasure)
Incubus - Dig

There was one song that Xfm played on their test that I heard so many times, and I don't know what it is. Prob 06/07 ish, and sounds kinda Limp Bizkit ish.
The only thing I know of it is that it had the lyric "I'm the bone crusher" and it repeated it a few times.
Any help?

BoneCracker by Shocore maybe?? Probably actually, that was a huge ass hit on Vancouver stations in 2003ish. They are from Langley and have only really had that one song give them any noteriety. This isn;t the actual video but its just something that someone made and used the song behind it.

Man, I can't STAND that song anymore. I did really enjoy it when I first heard it. Now, it seems like every time I turn on 92.9 that song is playing.
Curse you, vile radio stations!

I remember that song. I also remember seeing them at the inaugural Stage 13 where their live set featured topless women making out with each other.

The Twang - Wide Awake (Just downright fantastic)
Calvin Harris - Acceptable In The 80's ( You HAVE to listen to this track it's so catchy it will kill your brain)
Alex Gaudino - Destination Calabria (The hottest club track of the year i bet)
The Fray - How To Save A Life (I know its old but it was only just released here so it counts :P )
Just Jack - Writer's Block (His best song to date)
This is from early last year but if you like soulful funky house then this track is for you: Stonebridge - Chlorophilla. Sound of the summertime! Also check out Miguel Migs if you like this.
Anthony Roberts (Check out his profile http://www.myspace.com/anythonyrobertsmusic - He is really good)
If you like any of the above songs i would like to know. If you haven't please check them out as you will not be disappointed.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Magic.

Is the new Bloc Party album as good as the first? Thinking about getting a few albums this weekend. Want to get something summer-y as its lovely here (24*C). Any other recommendations?

So far this year:
The Almost - Say This Sooner
Cassino - Tin Man's Throne
Anberlin - Godspeed
Fall Out Boy - The Carpal Tunnel of Love
I actually didn't like the new Bloc Party album nearly as much as the last one. I really do like the new Arcade Fire though.

I vote for Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne. It's amazing how much she's matured on her new album, she's a married woman now and it really shows in her music and how she conducts herself.
But in all seriousness, I vote for Brianstorm, because The Arctic Monkeys are the only new band around who aren't some lame ripoff.

I honestly thought this was the biggest pile of garbage I've heard in a long time. I have no idea why people enjoy this band.
