So....I have been banging around the idea of buying a truck for some time now. I know which one I want and have found exactly what I'm looking for. Amusing thing is, the very first thread I read on this forum after finding it was gas hitting $1.50/litre come spring. Now I know trucks (4x4 in particular) use more gas than your average car but I'm trying to figure out how much more it will cost me per month. I have been looking at an American website regarding pretty much every vehicle made within the past 15 yrs and their fuel use and then found the one below from the goverment of Canada.

While the American site suggest I would be getting 14-18 mpg, the Canadian site is saying 17-24. Pretty decent sized difference.
Anyone ever played around with this site and able to verify or shoot down its accuracy?
Oh, the truck in question is a 2005 Dodge Dakota. Only 40,000kms and they dealer is selling for only $22,000.
