Default Gearhead Sites

Hey, do any of you post at/lurk at car nerd sites? If so, which ones?

Message boards, blogs, podcasts, radio stations (someone in the States must have a radio station devoted to talking about cars), racing news (any class), brand-specific message boards, mechanic advice, DIY stuff, anything, purchasing advice, street racing... anything.

I won't get into why I'm doing this, but just know that it could be a big help and I know you are all a very caring bunch and just love to help.

I used to post on there but havent in a long time, its a large resource though with lots of knowledgeable people, but tons of roaches too, be careful whose advice you take.

www.beyond.ca is a huge Calgary based car forum. More import based than performance-shop, and it has evolved into a mix of a car forum and a general/entertainment forum.

I personally stay away from beyond. It seems really cliquey.. and if you don't drive a merc, teg or honda, you aren't "cool".

Small forum, not enough members at this point to generate any real threads. If you drive a 01-05 Civic, aka EM2, join the site. I found new seats for my car for free just because I frequented that site once a week.
