Default Montreal... help

Does anyone on CP live in Montreal?

My dream is to be a chef and after talking to a few chefs lately I have ben told that if you are a resident of Montreal for 1 year that your entire education will be paid for.. is this true?

Does anyone know what the emplyment rate in Montreal is?
( I cant speak French)

Would my Alberta License be valid there?

what is the process to change my health care?

Also, most importantly would I be able to get sportsnet west? I don't want to miss any flames games

I know some of these question are kind of stupid but any advice I can get would be really appreciated.

I live in Montreal.

If you're a resident of Quebec, you do receive discounts on post-secondary education. Some of the 1-2 year programs are paid for by the government, particularly where they are lacking people, but I'm not sure if culinary school qualifies for this or not. I believe you have to live here for 18 months though, not 12, before you're considered a resident.

Your Alberta licence and plates will be valid for the first three months then you will have to trade them in.

The process of changing your health care is easy if you already have AB health care. Just go down to the RAMQ (Regie de l'Assurance Maladie du Quebec) with your current health care card and proof of address in Quebec and you can exchange it.

You can get sportsnet west, but there's no point since Flames games are blacked out. You'll have to get Centre Ice to watch the Flames.

Hope this helps.

as a plus to negative of the flames games being blacked out. you will be hard pressed to find strippers any better in the world than those in Montreal.
