Not being much of a computer genius, I need a little advice. Some time ago my toolbar misplaced or dropped the volume control icon. I can't figure out how to get it to resurrect itself. Any ideas from the CP techies out there? I tried going through the Control Panel to try and find it but came up blank. Fortunately I have a SB Live card that has a kinda back door volume control but it is a pain to get to quickly.

im using xp, but this should work...

go to control panel, double click on sounds and audio devices, under device volume, there should be a check box for 'place volume icon in taskbar'

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Have you tried right-clicking the toolbar to see if it just gives a check (or other) option to put the volume control back in the toolbar?

I think it's my turn for a computer related question: whenever I print a document, a big ugly potato (yes, a potato) pops up giving the status of the print job. Is there a way to a) stop this thing from popping up or b)get something cooler than a potato to show up?

Nothing in the control panel or anything...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm sorry man

hahaha

but that's funny, a patato just POPs up

I wonder, if you turn the fan off your hard drive will it become a french fry?

Did you try putting sour cream and chives on it, and serving it with some steak?

again, it must p*ss you off, I have no idea why I find it so funny (maybe because I haven't had alcohol in a really long time... well over a week anyway)

I'm just picturing a patato with like a cowboy hat saying "yeee-hawww gots 4 pages to go, and yers ink she's gettin low I reckin' "

or: www.potatohelp.com

or: The International Potato Centre

or, my personal favorite: The World Potato Congress

It's now my belief that Calf's computer has been infiltrated/hacked by angry farmers in PEI.

I don't believe it's real, because it's so damn stupid.

What was lexmark thinking?
