Blackhawks make another trade
Chicago GM Dan Julien came home last night to a message from Washington needing a 2nd line W/C type player. Negotiations quickly progressed and the Hawks have traded Mike Sillinger to the Capitals for Daniel Carcillo and Los Angeles' first round draft pick.
Sillinger was acquired to give us depth at different positions and bring the team leadership but we could not pass up the chance to get a good future 2nd liner with some scoring potential and a first round pick. We will continue to deal and now may need a winger. Forsberg MAY be on the trade block with an insurance clause if the trade is right. Anson Carter and his 10 goals may also be available. We need some defensemen and high end picks and prospects.
