Game Day: Stamps in Rider Nation Playoff Game

Game starts at 3pm today at Mosaic (or should I say Taylor) Field. There are a lot at stakes here for both teams.

#1. For the Riders, the pressure will be on because this is the first home playoff game for many years. The stadium will be full-packed and the fans are expecting an easy win against the Stamps.

#2. For the Stamps, Higgins is on a hot seat. There was a rumour swirling that this is his last game as a Stamps' coach if they lose. Even if they win the Grey Cup, Higgins are rumoured to be gone anyways. Henry Burris will try to prove to everyone that he is a money QB in this league.
Burris and Reynolds also needs to prove to the Stamps fans the previous bad playoff games are a thing in the past.

OFFENSE:
QB: I think a healthy Burris is a lot better than Kerry Joseph. I will have to say a tie on this category because Joseph is playing at home and Burris is not 100%.

Oline: Stamps have veteran OLine but they tend to make mistakes a lot. Lots of penalties during the season. I am hoping this is the game they gel together. Riders OLine played well this season and they gave Joseph lots of time. Advantage to Riders.

Receivers: The Stamps probably have the best receiving unit in the league. Copeland, Lewis, Rambo, Thelwell and Ralph. Riders lost their best WR already. Advantage: Stamps

RB: Joffrey is a lot better than any of the Riders' RB. Advantage: Stamps

DEFENSE:
DLinemen: Stamps DLinemen are raw in experience. They were awful in pass rush and stopping the run. They put a couple of new linemen last game and both are playing BUT they are still no match to Riders DLinemen. Advantage: Riders

LB: Stamps LB Captain is not playing which I think is a big No-No. Riders LB has been consistent all season. Advantage: Riders

DBacks: Stamps DB are faster and they are gelling all season. Riders have more veteran DBs than the Stamps. Slight Advantage: Stamps

SPECIAL TEAM:
Punt Return: Advantage Riders
Kickoff Return: Advantage Riders
Kicking: Advantage: Stamps
Punting: Slight Advantage Stamps

Overall: Riders is favorite to win because they are better defensively and they are playing in front of their home crowd.

Supposedly 60KMH winds in Regina right now. With the Stamps bringing 2 solid RB's, and The Riders limping in with barely 1, that could be a big Stamps advantage.

Lets hope Renyolds holds onto the ball...a probelm he's 5 or 6 times had the last 2 playoff games that have cost the Stamps big time.

The Stamps have edge offensively, Riders defensively. I would give the Stamps the edge in kicking. Mistake free football from the Stamps today will win them the game. NO TURNOVERS AND NO PENALTIES or just a few.
