Default Six NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Seems every time I read these "won't release nationalities of said dead soldiers" they turn up being Canadians.

Is Kabul the Americans? I know we're Southern, and in Kandahar. (actually, says right there in the article that Eastern is mostly US forces.)

Quote:
Six Nato soldiers and three Afghan troops have been killed in fighting in eastern Afghanistan, Nato has said.
Militants ambushed the joint patrol of Afghan soldiers and troops from Nato's International Security Assistance Force (Isaf), the alliance said.

The rebels attacked with small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades.

I think the Germans are north and west of Kabul. But their territory may overlap with the Americans near Kabul.
