Question Sim Question - Player recovery?

I have never really noticed but do players recover from injuries during the days off in the sim?

I have 4 days off and wondering if my 97-99 Condition guys might be recovered fully by then. Anyone have answers?

or most specifically they 'might' recover

some guys seem to recover on off days, some don't

Jed Ortmeyer received an undisclosed minor injury about 5 or 6 days ago, and he's been stuck at 97 ever since, in the pressbox. other guys seem to recover more quickly either by sitting or on team off days

I've always found that players will recover if you play a game that day and sit them out. If you don't play...it's as if nothing changed in terms of player CON ratings. I think the SIM is programmed more for # of games missed vs. an actual time period. So if it says your guy is out 2-4 weeks expect him to miss about 10-12 games type of thing.

I will move guys that are 97/98 onto my bottom pairing D... or 4th line.... or just play them on the PP/PK. It seems that they will recover in a few games if i do that.

As for goalies... as soon as one hits 99... i sit him for a game or two...

I find that if a goalie is in the 96/97 range i will take them right out and bring up another goalie as a backup... that way they are not going to find their way into the game.

I also found out the best way to get your team in a slump is by playing a tired goalie.....
