Default Spam that just might kill you

It's not hyperbole. People are dying from tainted drugs sold over the Internet; a new survey reveals just how common that practice is.

Just in case anybody needed another reason to hate spammers.

Well, the US has notoriously high prescription drug costs, right? That's why so many of Americans try to buy their drugs up here, isn't it? I can certainly understand it if there are people with low-incomes (the elderly for example,) who can't necessarily afford said prescriptions and are willing to take the risk. Unfortunately, not everybody on the internet is techno-savvy enough to notice the tell-tale signs of scamming. It's a damn shame, too.

The first thing that came to my mind was: After all this time, people actually still read these emails?

The second thing that came to my mind was: If you did read the email who would buy that product? Its clearly spam.

No they don't, but the punishment for stupidity is often swift and cruel, you can never be off gaurd.

It's definitely sad. I remember way back when (I was probably 6 or so) at my Grandma's place. She was certain that she won some prize through the mail. I think all she had to do was send them $100 or something. I forget all of the details.
Basically it took my dad and mom about an hour of her persistent "but it says 'I already won!'" for her to finally realize that she didn't actually win anything and that it was in fact a scam (she might have just given up though).
Basically as we all know, the elderly aren't as quick to realize a new thing out there.
They get flyers for london drugs etc in their home mailbox, and these "flyers" in their email. whats the difference? they see none.
