Telus TV
Okay a question, does anyone have Telus TV as of yet?
Telus called me on Friday and received their sales pitch. However I don't know anyone that has this as of yet?
Is Telus TV a good option?

Thanks, reviewed that site and it has no refernce to Telus TV. Anyhow I will look at the Telus website.
Telus TV offers digitial cable package that is very similiar to Bell ExpressVu / Shaw just not sure about it as it seems quite new.

IMHO Telus TV takes all the bad things about Bell, and combines them with the bad things about Shaw.
I was watching it last night at a friend's house, and while it's better than when it was new; it still has compression issues.
Telus TV is the right choice for the person who wants 2 or 3 specialty channels, wants to spend under $30/month, and cannot put up a satellite dish. Otherwise, stick with Bell/Shaw/Starchoice.

Thanks, I have Bell ExpressVu and the only reason I would switch is the Cost. The quote I received is allot cheaper per month and the channels are very similiar.

A friend of mine who works at Telus doesn't even have good things to say about Telus TV. I haven't heard one positive comment from a consumer about the product either.

I used to work as a sales rep with this stuff. Pretty much have to say teh previous poster was spot on. When it first came out it was absolutely awful. Constantly having compression issues and channels just straight out not working. I've heard it's gotten better, but still is not up to par. The only good thing is the ability to pick and chose specialty channels. The packages pretty much allow you to pick any specialty channels from a fair sized pool, without having to deal w/ tiers or packages. If you aren't looking for a just a few specialty channels, go w/ something else

i used to work for Telus... wait until they get their bandwidth rolling... until then hold out... its too new and has too many kinks... ie freezing/blackouts. For some people it works great other ( like myself ... not so much)
DO NOT agree to a term... even a verbal agreement is legally binding

Telus TV HD service is in employee testing in Vancouver from what I understand. It is vastly improved from where it started, but I would say it will be at least a year before I consider it a viable alternative.
I had Telus TV when I worked for them. If I can be of further help, let me know.
