Default Conservatives Slime of Another Colour...

I hated when the Liberals did this.
Hate it just as much when the Conservatives do it...

But what makes it all the more damning is that they were elected on a promise to clean up government. They condemned the Liberals for doing exactly the same thing.

Same sh*t. Different day.

What about Rob Anders?

Does this strike anyone else as hypocritical?

Agreed. Why can't these parties just do the right thing. Stupid conservatives.

It really is the nature of the beast no matter what the party is. You just have to hope that for all the crap they do, that they at least do some things right. Anyone who elected the Conservatives and actually believed the politcal games would change were either a little naive or too young to recall governments prior to the most recent Liberal regime.

Is it because those guys didn't tow the party line? Kinda a sucky reason to be disqualified from running, but that's politics.

For me, I see a reduction in the GST from 7% to 6%, and in 2 months, it'll be 5%. I can forgive a little in-party bi+chin' when I see progress.

Woah. Only one guy didn't 'tow the party line'. The other two are unexplained. The Tories just dumped them after their local associations nominated them to run - no explanation.

You don't mind a hypocritical, corrupt government so long as it lowers your taxes? But I agree with the above poster that said that those who elected the Conservatives believing that they would 'clean up federal politics' was naive.

This is really a disgrace. Of course the other story regarding the electoral machine that is the CPC is their alleged over-spending during the last campaign. It just gives an impression that they don't really care about the democratic process and the rules in place to make sure that a race is fair.
