Apparently no one told Telus, my phone is switched and I can't find anywhere to change the time on my phone.

Usually the time works off the tower. So you will have to wait for Telus to change it in their system.

Why did they change the date?

Bush did. One of his answers for dependency on oil, go to bed early!

They should do away with standard time altogether. I'd prefer daylight time year round.

^^ Agreed.

And I just made a complaint to Shaw; this time threatening to cancel my service if they don't get it fixed in time.

What is up with Shaw? (and my Telus cell phone is showing the correct time)

Shaw has switched to MST already- a week early. And my phones all update their time based on what they get from caller ID info.

Wow... anyone read the comments after that article?

Government conspiracies
canada vs usa
Farmers vs city folk

It has everything! Here's my favourite quote:

Does anyone wonder if it is about governments controlling the people? If the governments can tell the people when to get up, when to go to bed, when to open the stock market, is not government exercising and controlling the people?

Does this happen to everyone who reads the National Post?

So thats why I've been early for everything all week....

Damn. And here I thought I was going insane.

Could somebody make a quick trip up here to Ponoka and tell them that this was all an honest mistake?

Let's see, go to work in the dark, when most of us are pretty much still 75% asleep anyway, or go home and it's still somewhat light out? I'd prefer the latter.

Daylight savings is a load of crap.

I love daylight savings time...nothing beats long summer days....well worth the trade off...just hate the fact that most of my electronics are based on the old dst standards so now i have to change my time 4 times a year on some devices..

With most telus phone, you have to turn it off, then turn it back on to get the new time.

I woke up at 5:30 this morning, and wandered around aimlessly until the gym opened at 7am.
