Default WTB: Subwoofer for Home Theatre
Hello,

I am looking for a stand alone subwoofer to round out my patch work home theatre system. If anyone has an extra one PM me and we can work out a deal.

Not so sure, this is my first experience with home theatre so I haven't yet educated myself with all the ins and outs.

I was hoping to hook it up to the centre channel on the amplifier that my father in law bestowed upon me... does that mean I am looking for passive?

I'll read up on about.com and let you know.

A passive sub does not need to be plugged into a power source. I have an extra one at home if you need.

The reason I have an extra one is I have my old powered sub hooked up instead. I prefer powered.
