Default Thanks CP!

I don't wanna get into a big long thing here, but I wanted to thank everyone on here for making it a great community for those of us that are new to the Flames organization and to the NHL. I've looked around, and honestly haven't found another team's fans that are as active and supporting as Flames fans are, makes me proud to be a small part of that.

And to think .. two years ago, there was a very real chance that Edmonton could have moved their AHL team here. Good things come to those who wait

Thanks for putting into words what I can't.

This is, for the most part, one of the best internet boards around- a good main topic area with knowledgeable posters, good secondary forums, and an excellent off-topic area. Pretty much can't be beat.

Welcome to anyone new... I still have the new feeling after almost 5 years (about 2 when i was just lurking)

Its worth it though DS...because we got someone like you to post here at CP.

Honestly, I always appreciate your posts, and ALWAYS make sure I read the threads you start, or where I see that you have posted.

I do what I can. I hate pristine communities. Pristine? Says who, watch this.....

Pristine communities are for chumps and the weak!

All jokes aside, CP is awesome for anything hockey related. The Oilers were going to go to QC? Man, you dodged a serious bullet, you have no idea....

Hope you realize how great it is for CalgaryPuck to have eyes and ears on the main farm team. We've been blessed in the past to have had Aaron in Saint John and then Tilley in Omaha (with a lapse in when the farm was in Lowell).

I think the contributions of all the Quad Cities folks so far has been tremendous.

I would also like to extend my appreciation for CP.com! We don't get much hockey coverage in the states unless you have an NHL team in your town. (and somehow I doubt it is that big in many of the U.S. NHL cities, unfortunately)

I'm a relatively new fan of the Flames (married into it in 2003!), and hockey in general. I searched many Flames forums before finding CP.com. Posters here are knowledgeable, helpful, and know when to take the "homer" glasses off from time to time!

Here's to a great season and great times to be had on CalgaryPuck!!!

I strongly urge all Quad Citizen hockey fans to frequent this forum and abandon other cyber hangouts.

Hey, you are a very visible and hockey knowledgeble (probably more than the average Flames fan here in Calgary) poster so it's great. Hope the QC Flames can start winning a few more games and winning more fans. Reading the comments on the QC Online articles I can read shows quite a heated debate about whether or not people are supporting the team or not.

I also think this is a great site and great community. I had never been on a message board before CP. I didn't even know about it until I heard about it when I was reading the Calgary Herald online after the Andrew Ference trade. I was very frustrated before that at not getting a lot of Flames news here (Ontario) and this was a great surprise. I'm always really interested in the game thread discussions, certainly do get lots of differing opinions sometimes, it's never boring.

I like Drunk Skunk. Who else has pictures of jerseys that look like cowboy-outfits at his disposal?

Plus, I feel a kind of affinity--since I too, once lived in Iowa. (of course, DS may live in Illinois, but it's close enough.)

Strangers with this kind of honesty make me go a big rubbery one.

All kidding aside. CP Rocks!
