Weather Archives Question

Hey I was just wondering if anyone knew of some way to pull up weather(namely precipitation) archives for various cities, specifically for Edmonton in summer 2008. I was just talkin to a co-worker today about what a brutal summer we had in terms of rain, clouds and mild temperatures, and he thinks I'm crazy and said he only remembers it raining once all June/July/August, and that we had a great, hot summer. I know he's hepped up on goofballs, but after searching for a solid 20mins, I can't find anything to prove it. Anyone able to steer me in the right direction?
