Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder on playing in London:

Quote:
I couldn’t find London on a map if they didn’t have the names of the countries,” Crowder said. “I swear to God. I don’t know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that.
Quote:
I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. That’s the closest thing I know to London. He’s black, so I’m sure he’s not from London. I’m sure that’s a coincidental name.
For those who dont want to click.

An example of the outstanding American educational system and the rigorous admission standards of the University of Florida.

He played two years at UF and Im guessing received a total of 5 credits for his work.

You'd get 5 credits for basket weaving?

If you read the article someone mentions he had a 3.5GPA and was joking. I usually listen to Rome but I missed it. If its true then I agree hes not very bright. However it may be that he was joking.

On the other hand this is the most overrated player on the dolphins team, hes absolutely terrible.

Somebody wrote this about Crowder, not sure if this is true or not

Quote:
Dude, seriously…he’s having some fun with you guys. That’s Channing. He cracks his own jokes that only he gets to laugh at.
Here are some facts about Channing. He scored a 30 on the wonderlic. He was a member of the National Honors Society in college. He had a validated 3.5 GPA at University of Florida, and I believe he graduated early.
Seriously, he was making fun of you guys

I saw them talking about this on PTI yesterday and one guy thought he was dead serious because he wrestles wild boars in the offseason and the other figured it was just a guy pulling one on the media to get a rise. His comments are a bit too well thought out for me to believe that any of it is true. If he wasn't that bright he wouldn't have been able to rant on the way he did. To his credit...if he didn't say anything, I'd have no idea who Channing Crowder is. Now I do.

According to Miami Hearld writer Dan Le Batard, who was on PTI the other day, know him very well and said there is no way he is joking. He really is that dumb. I wish I saved the show to get the exact quote.

But he basically laughed when Tony Kornheiser stated he thought he was joking about this.

His GPA means nothing as an athlete, many of them get passes because they need to hold a certain GPA to play.
