Default Game Day: Stamps vs Alouettes

Well, this is a nothing game for the Stamps because they cannot move up or move down if they win or lose. But the Stamps would like to use this game as their preparations for the playoffs.

#1. If you are Higgins, would you let Burris play the whole game or you take him out in the half or after the 3rd quarter? If I am the coach, I would take him out after the 3rd quarter just to avoid reinjuring his shoulder. But that doesn't mean it won't happen during the game at all. The other reason I would take him out is to give Sankey some time as well. Then in BC, I would start Sankey and maybe give Burris the last quarter.

#2. This game is good for the defense to show what they can do. Speaking of defense. whatever happens to Cornelius Anthony? I really like the guy but I guess they would rather use Trey Young as the weak-side LB because he is faster and he can cover receiver. Can't they use him to spell relief to Brian Clark? I would rather see the guy as a backup rather than just sit him. I can see him signing with another Western rivals next season ie: BC Lions or Riders or even Eskimos.

#3. I think Nik Lewis already broke the 1,000 yards. Would Copeland, Rambo follow suit on this game?

#4. Do you think the Stamps will let Joffrey Reynolds run the ball a lot this game. I would think they would.

Anyways, I don't care if they win or lose as long as they got out scott-free and no injuries in this game. Hopefully both sides gets better and continue until the playoffs against the Damn RIDERS!

Will the game be blacked out? I don't think to many people want to be out in the cold tonight. I think it will be blacked out.

ughhh i was at the game, good game to watch, decent weather for late october. attendance was announced at about 29k, which is not bad for a meaningless late october game(there was prob closer to 25k there though). anyways stamps lost 33-32
the stamps scored a touchdown with about 4 minutes left and shouldve went for 2, if they had and got it, it would have tied the game. Stupid higgins. i cannont understand why you would not go for 2, your either down by 2 if you dont get it or your tied, but taking a single your still down by one. rediculous. its a good thing this game was meaningless. meh
anyways thats the update

^^^^^ I was actually swearing at Higgins when he went for a field goal conversion. I don't give a rats a&$ if it wasn't 3 minutes left in a game. Any coaches would go for 2 point conversion on that TD ony any given time especially the 4th quarter. I can understand it if it happens in the 3rd quarter. Anyways, i guess we saw one of Higgins' questionable call yesterday.

As for my assessment on the game. Offense is not bad and they could have won the game if it wasn't for the forced pass that ended up as an Interception. I am not too concerned of that as it shows Burris is capable of playing well even in his condition. Turnover especially fumbles is a big concern. I love Joffrey Reynolds as an RB but he seems to have a fumble problem especially when the game really counts. I know yesterday's game is meaningless but this is not the best time to start losing confidence and start fumbling the ball.

Special teams especially punt returners is a suspect. I am still not convince Marcus Howell is the answer for the Stamps. Aside from his one TD punt return, he hasn't been doing his job. 3-10 yards return will not do. With this guy's speed, he should be getting at least 20 yards even every 3 punt returns.

Defense. Awwwwwww the defense! In the last 3 games they have been average. Their run defense is terrible and the pass protection has been awful lately as well. Ty George and Trey Yong were the only Defensive players that I think is worth mentioning as one of the positive. Hopefully they get better soon otherwise Riders won't give them a chance to beat them at all.

Heck I thought it not bad for a meaningless game. I expect the BC game to be the real dreadful one with nobody wanting to get hurt and the intensity level at or near zero.
