Default Ebay jersey question, please help!

So my long awaited Saints jersey finally arrived today in the mail, and I was wondering if some of you who have ordered jerseys before(preferably NFL, as its a material/stitching question) could help me out with something. The jersey looks great, but it's clearly fake, as the stitching is a little subpar. I dont care about that though, I expected as much from a $30 jersey. But its pretty wrinkled and a little dirty too, so I was planning on giving it a run through the wash on gentle to get er lookin good. But Ive heard some horror stories before about people washing jerseys they bought off Ebay and having numbers, etc falling off afterwards. Has anyone had this problem before, or should I be ok with washing this?

I have washed numerous jerseys purchased off EBay with no issues. Wash in cold water on the hand-wash or gentle cycle and hang to dry - avoid the dryer at all costs

I allways turn my jerseys inside out. Before I put them in the washing machine.

Did the listing claim that it was "authentic"? You may have recourse no matter how much you paid through ebay if you were led to belive if it's real.
