Is this one of those things where you see a bunch of fat lonely dudes dressed up as fantasy characters hopelessly hitting on hot hired models working in booths trying to sell comix books and DVD's of the lost episodes of Xena the Warrier princess?

There was a Japanese anime festival on the UofC campus this summer. I didn't know anything about it, just showed up one day crazy was everywhere. I have nothing against it, I just don't understand it at all.

I saw them lined up at the sub, and the line just started at a random arbitrary spot down the north side steps. I was so very very confused. Just a random line of wierd costumes. And people having plastic sword fights. Epic.
