I just went and picked up mine 2 weeks ago. For the free delivery, you had to be home all day.
So far so good, but now I am waiting on Shaw for the HDPVR.

that's the one. I really like it, no complaints for me, use it as my computer monitor/xbox360 display and it looks awesome.

hoping a cheap media pc pops up so I can use the 360 as a media extender and get a satellite signal to the TV now.

Was that 42" a tv or monitor? If it was a monitor what would you need to use it as a tv?

It's definitely a TV. A 42inch monitor would cost like $7000 or something.

So it is already a tv.

These days, the terms are pretty interchangable. The only thing a "TV might" have over a "monitor" is a tuner and perhaps speakers. The 42" last time was Westinghouse. Many people use Westinghouse LCDs for monitors or TVs, whatever they feel like.

Monitors right now still yield better resolutions than any LCDTV even 1080p LCDTVs don't have as high a resolution as a regular monitor.

That is if you go up to a 24" monitor or better and most people don't have that yet, though it is becoming more popular. Even a 24" incher is "only" 1920x1200 compared to 1920x1080, which is really close. This really is only attributed to the fact that, for whatever reason, widescreen computer monitors use a 16:10 aspect ratio compared to 16:9. Though nothing touches computer monitors for pixel density - 2560x1600 @ 30" is impressive and 1920x1200 on a 17" laptop monitor is incredible.

On this topic, thanks for the post. I love Dell Days of Deals, I picked up the 3007WFP (30" monitor) last year for $1100 down from $1800 at the time and just the last offering the 1500VA APC battery backup for $200 down from $700. Some pretty remarkable deals if you keep your eyes open.

The monitor is the low quality one.

Descent price but nothing that cant be had at any local electronics shop, not a hot deal.
