Not a basketball fan, so can't really comment on the broadcasting side. I am in my car all day a few times a week and listen to THe Fan 590 and I really respect that an American, basketball guy took the time to:
a) even bother hosting a radio show on a Canadian sports radio station.
b) learn about, follow and be able to talk intelligently about hockey, fCFL football and Jays baseball.
c) and probably the biggest thing was that he loved it so much in Toronto that he and his family became Canadian citizens.
That last one made me respect him a lot. He did not need to do that. It's also why this move surprised me a lot. I know Chicago is his home town, but it's kind of a step down to radio broadcasts. I suspect they threw buckets of money at him.
Plus, how can you not like a guy with a serious addiction to Blizzard's from Dairy Queen?
