There's already football being played, but this is good news, I would expect the players are heading straight to camp now.

Thank god. I'm not the biggest NFL supporter in the world and only catch about 20 games a year, but it wouldn't be the same with Monday Night Football, or the awesomeness of Sunday afternoons.

i love the NFL, but have to admit, i was looking forward to seeing if the NHL could increase their footprint in the states, having the NFL mammoth in hibernation for a season.

yea it would have been interesting to see a fall without the NFL dominating the sports landscape for another year. I still woulda got my football fix. but good for NFL fans to have it back, missing hockey really sucked. I hope the NHL can avoid a lockout next year too
