Man, that fine says more about what kind of coin that sport is pulling as much as anything. Can you really see many other sports franchies being able to handle that? That would pretty much bankrupt most teams flat out.

Please make your cheque payable to Bernie Ecclestone..... the shyster himself. What a joke, I wish the top teams had pulled out and started their own rival series.

It'll be interesting to see if this tarnished Hamilton, the boy wonder, in his quest to be the next Tiger Woods.

Hamilton keeps all his points this year, so he can still win the Championship this year. The only thing this is effecting is the McLaren team standings and pockets.

I heard on the radio about a year back that F1 racing makes the most money out of any sport in the world (no idea how) and that if you bunched the big 4 (NFL, NHL, NBA & MLB) together they would still not be in the same ball park as F1's revenues.

Have you see the amount of advertising at these things? F1 is one of the few global sports out there, they have a massive audience, and therefore massive amounts of advertising revenue. Never mind the fact, that going to a race isn't cheap.
