Default What car brands you'd like to see in Canada?

Just got thinking that I would love it if Alfa Romeo came to Canada. My dad used to own several Alfas...including a couple of Spiders. I remember my dad and I ripping down the mountain side in his spider. That car was awesome.

What car brands would you like to see?

A thing of beauty

Opel is here, they just call them "Saturn" here.

The Sky is an Opel GT.

The Aura is an Opel Vectra.

The Ion is getting replaced by the Astra. I'm pretty excited to see what our version of the Astra will look like.

I'd also love to see Peugot's and Citroens here, but most of all Alfa Romeo's as well.

I've heard that the Astra is a great car, but the N American version has the weakest engine, which is a poor choice IMO

Personally, I'd love to see some Skoda's here. They are more or less restyled VW's, but would offer a great alternative in that compact class. Plus they clearly love their hockey.

Hopefully future models would do better than some of the current Chinese vehicles in crash tests:

Don't know why they bothered installing airbags.

Does that say that its a B class vehicle for the price of an A class one? It reads really strange... But, if that is what it says not a very good marketing point...

Yeah, that's exactly what it says on the website LOL

Wow. Those videos are brutal. I like how people were laughing after the SUV had crashed. Nice death traps.

Yeah, they're pretty unsafe...but I doubt they are worse than Protons. Those cars are junk.

Really doubtful. The Cobalt and the Ion are based off of the Astra and had an available 205HP supercharged version of the Astra's engine (the Astra has a turbo ~200 HP) and the base model Ion/cobalt use the 2.2L Ecotec (145 Hp) where as the Astra gets a 1.8L Ecotec (~140 HP) and also has a 1.6L (~100 HP) and a diesel available.

On average, European economy cars are way less powerful than ours because cars are expensive, and gas even more so.

I'd assume the new top of the line Astra will have the Sky redline motor dropped straight in, but in a FWD configuration and make ~250 HP, as I'm sure they'd de-tune it a bit for their economy car.

TVR, Scion, Koeniegsagg, Bugatti etc.

If not that.. I would just happy with the Canadian DoT reducing the 15yr rule to 10.

According to C&D the only engine will be the 4-banger non-aspirated economy engine...no turbo for you
