The Montreal Canadiens are breathing a sigh of relief after forward Alex Kovalev escaped serious injury after an accident in Grande Riviere, Quebec on Saturday.
Kovalev flew to the town on his own plane to visit one of his fans, and while there he managed to damage a Harley Davidson motorcycle that belonged to the mayor.
Kovalev was uninjured and says he is paying for the repairs.

I remember hearing about this fan a few months ago.

and besides, why would kovalev have to pay when the driver of the car appeared to be making an illegal left hand turn?

For what it's worth, it appears the original text was copied from TSN's website... (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=216704&hubname=) However I highly doubt that clip is related.

When I hear "he managed to damage" I start to think he probably let it fall over and wasn't involved in a collision at all.
