Last Night's Incubus Concert
Was anyone else at the show? Brandon's vocals were on, but the sound was off. I think it had to do with the venue. There seemed to be a huge echo throughout the night. Do concerts always sound that way in the Corral?
Also, does anyone know the name of the instrument used at the end of the encore? It looked like a sitar, but it was probably something else.

I was there, it seemed as I was walking out that (I was on the floor) the sound was pinpointed to the very centre of the floor, just in front of the sound stage. It got more crisp as we walked through that area and then got jarbeld as we carrried onto the back I thought the sound overall sucked as well.
I despise the corral for concerts, it's the worst venue in Calgary by far.
I do not know the name of the instrument, it sounded like a cross from a sitar and chinese landolin (sp?). I thoughte encore was very good, probably the best string of songs in the entire night. A hit, sound raw energy and then a perfect wind down - outro style song to say good night.
i give the concert a rating of "two inappropriate guys with shirts off" out of three. 2/3.

I was there on the floor. It sounded fine where I was standing. Concert was ok, not the best i've ever seen. Brandon sounded really good though. What's with the lights shining directly into the audience every 10 seconds. Talk about annoying.

meeting the band before the concert via the "make yourself foundation" was cool though

The instrument is called a "pipa".

I went to the concert here in Victoria on Monday. I was on the floor right at the front and centre. Great concert.
I'm pretty sure they probably played the same setlist as they did in Calgary. Which is to say, a pretty mediocre one. Only one song from science, and probably the worst one (summer romance). Too many songs from light grenades (i'm looking at you kiss to send us off) and not enough from morning view (nice to know you/circles).
Kind of sucks when they don't play your three favourite songs (Green, NTKY, Admiration), still a good concert though.

I enjoyed it, would have liked to hear A Certain Shade of Green and Warning, but otherwise very good, was easy to point out the fans of the last 2 Albums because as soon as Vitamin started up they sat down and were quiet.

I wanted to go but was afraid they would play too much new stuff, those last few albums have been pretty soft. I caught them in '98 with Snot, Hed(pe), and Soulfly. I guess that will have to do.

They did. They also really got the crowd into it with "Wish You Were Here". I love "The Warmth", so I'm disappointed that they didn't play it, but you can't win them all.
Minus the sound, a good show.

Punchdrunk is a great song and me and one of the 12 friends I went with were the only two around us who knew the song. Everybody else was "wtf". UMU is a great inclusion to the set, I love that song.
This was the Aug 20 Victoria set btw.
