I believe they are just the new trains and buses that the city bought and they haven't been painted yet.

Likely a result of the work to rule. No time to slather them with paint, logos, and ads.

The seats in the new buses drive me nuts. Upholstery? Really? How gross is that? They couldn't keep the old plastic seats free of bodily substances. Now there's a good chance you're sitting in a chair that's full of soaked-in urine, feces or much worse.

New slogan: City Transit: The sights, the sounds, the smells!
I kid! The best alternative, if they could improve the system, even better.

What's worse than urne or feces? Are you implying the spoonful of medicine your wife/girlfriend takes on a semi-nightly basis, if that's the case, it's not worse as evidenced by the fact she takes it on a semi-nightly basis

Bump!
Well, not to brag...But I called this one.
Can't find a link to a picture anywhere...But more and more Ctrains and busses are now Red and Tan Colored with a wave pattern.
That's right...I said RED! Well played City of Calgary.

Yep, red is the main color. I was talking to a bus driver and he said studies have shown that painting a vehicle red makes it appear to be moving faster than it really is, so that's why they chose red. Nothing to do with the Flames, unfortunately.

If they wanted to truly reflect the CT experience, the buses would be coverd with skulls and crossbones, lots of question marks, and several WTF?s

That's interesting still. I'm glad they changed it up, blue and purple just wasn't a good choice from the start.
Those Go Flames Go signs will look much better during the playoffs.

Red is Calgary's color. They look good now, I can't beleive you haven't all seen them with the red yet.

They need to get some black Flaming "C's" on there. That would look badass!

I just hope they stop putting ads across the windows, makes it hard to see where you are.

Yeah, and I like the slope of the paint across the front of the train, which gives it a bit of an 'angry face' look. The symmetry in the sides is also nice. Not often that I give the city a thumbs-up on anything design related, but this is pretty nice. Between the red and the swooshy shape that's vaguely reminiscent of the saddle-dome or of a stetson, it really does have a Calgarian look to it.
