Default 6th Ave. blocked this morning between 6th St. & 7th St.

Anyone know why all those firetrucks and police cars were blocking 6th Ave. between 6th St. and 7th St. this morning? Looked like something to do with a building on the south side of 6th.

Note that ths is not the location of the Encana tower closing.

Apparently some sort of fire emergency in the Terrace Gardins Building; from what a friend emailed to me.

I work across from that building and didn't notice a thing.

I wouldn't say "close to 100 people", it was more like 30, (half of a city bus). I work in the building next door and went down to see the commotion, but it turned out to be pretty uneventful.

Yeah, a few of the ESL students were in the IMPARK lot, but nothing really major from what I could tell.
