I watch from time to time when not much else is on. Brent Butt is a great standup comic - if you get a chance to watch any of his act do so. Anyhoo I think as far as Canadian made TV is pretty good. But the old man bugs me - largely because he used to be on those cruddy Ford ads.

The whole family has watched it since the first episode. Jackass. My son has the first three seasons on DVD. I grew up in a community like Dog River, and a lot of the show's characters can be founnd in any small town on the Prairies, which makes it even more amusing to me.

Juri,if you mean the guy who plays Brent Butt's dad Oscar, that's Eric Peterson. Eric has done a lot of work in Canadian TV (Street Legal probably being the best known) but he wasn't one of the two old farts in the Ford ads.

Yeah, I like it.

They have the occasional episode that is a bit too far out there, but generally I think the series is great.

Being from Sasaktchewan, I love all the Sask-specific nuances that are written into the show ie: all the characters last names being towns in Sask.

I think the bit that got me hooked was the first one in the first episode where Brent is pumping gas and the guy comments on it being flat around there. Just a classic Canadian joke done really well.

Great show. Seemed to lose steam towards the end of last season. Hope this season is enjoyable as past ones.

hahah

Davis: [after losing the Grey Cup tickets] Well, I'll have to go to a scalper.
Karen Pelly: Isn't it weird for you to go to a scalper?
Davis: Why? Because I'm a Cree man? I resent that!
Karen Pelly: Because you're a police officer and scalping tickets is illegal.
Davis: Oh yeah.

Really? Well I'll be...all this time I've hated him entirely because of that.
