Now you can spoil your best friend even more with doggie ice cream!

I know I'm gonna pick some up whenever it becomes available in Canada.

Purina has been selling dog ice cream in Canada for a while now. I've seen it at Sobey's this summer a few times.

Austrian broadcaster ORF quoted society columnist Karl Hohenlohe as saying: "It tastes like steel that a dog peed on."

Yummy.

My dogs think a big treat in their day is a dollop of fresh horse poop . . . . apparently good for them according to the vet, although disconcerting to watch to say the least.

They don't get a lot of store-bought stuff beyond their normal eclectic dog food . . . . . so, no thanks to the ice cream.

It's coming up on their favourite time of year though. Peas out of the garden, the all-you-can eat raspberry patch, Russian olives, crab apples, blueberries, Saskatoons, yada, yada, yada . . . . the world is their banquet in the fall.

One of my dogs wolfed down an apple pie the other day off our counter. I don't think I'll be getting anything like Ice cream though. My dogs seem be be quite content to get their daily share of carrots.

Funny about the raspberries though. My mom complains about how when her little pom can get loose out the front door she runs straight to the raspberry bush and somehow seems to know exactly which ones the ripe ones are.

My dog likes the Purina ice cream, I save it for REALLY hot days so it is an occasional snack. You can get it at Sobeys, Coop and Walmart.

Cowperson, that is an awesome pic. My dog does the same thing with the raspberries...she handles the lower branches while I pick the top ones!!

Hmm... I'm gonna give the Purina ice cream a shot.

Also, Cowperson's dogs live in doggie paradise.

Anyone ever hear of this voice box you put around your dog'd collar to understand what your dog is saying?
I remember hearing about it once, probably here, anyway, I think it had like sixty phrases that your dog could express!
