K, so I saw a commercial for a new female artist, and she sounds just like Alanis. That's about all I got, other than I've heard her song on the poppy stations...

Can anyone help me with this?

If it is Feist, she isn't exactly new...this is her first somewhat mainstream album. She used to play with Broken Social Scene before going solo but still plays with them when she's in town. She's a Canadian girl from Nova Scotia who lived in good old Calgary for a little while. If you like her stuff you should check out her second Album, Let It Die.
