Simpsons Movie Discussion Thread (Spoiler Warning!)
This thread is for those of us who have seen the movie, and want to discuss it. For those of you who haven't seen it this is your last warning.
Spoiler Warning!
OK, so something that has been bugging me. Why didn't they just grab Professor Fink's laser drill and bust through the dome right when they escaped? Would have saved the town, and they would have no longer been in danger of being lynched.
Also, what was your biggest LOL moment? For me it was when the polar bear kicked the fox. Just a classic Simpsons scene.

And of course I happened to read a review of the movie that mentions seeing Bart's weenie. I hate when they do that- why give away one of the biggest laughs?

"Earthquake!"
"Aftershock!"
Hhahahah. Both of those made me laugh my @$$ off.
Also during the credits when Mr.Burns wanted Smithers to commit suicide to cheer him up

My biggest laugh moment was when homer was escaping through the sinkhole and started fingering everyone. Then, while his head was still visible, everyone was scratching, clawing, and raking his head LOL. That scene killed me.

Slow version of the spider pig theme, or the commercial with Tom Hanks and the new Grand Canyon.

On that note, why didn't they just dig under the dome?
My favorite moment was when the people saw the "dome" coming and everyone in the church ran into the bar and everyone in the bar ran into the church.
Also, spider-pig: "Spider-pig, spider-pig, does whatever a spider-pig does. Can he swing, from a web? No he can't, he's a pig. Look out! He's a spider-pig."

Yeah, the whole pig thing was getting worn pretty thin. Footprints on the ceiling was a little ammusing. However without the pig there would have been no pig waste to dump into Lake Springfield......

I enjoyed the "bedroom scene" in Alaska where the animals helped Homer and Marge take their clothes off.
"We're going to need more birds!"
I also liked the Rainier Wolfcastle/President Schwarzenegger scenes.
"Mr. President, here are you five choices. You--"
"I CHOOSE OPTION #3"
"But wouldn't you like to hear what all the options are?"
"NO!"
There were a few little things that I hadn't noticed in the TV show before either, that seem to have been included especially for the movie- Nelson's mom doing the "ha-ha," Otto actually smoking through a bong in plain view, Lisa finally getting so fed up with Bart's teasing she socks him right in the stomach, and a few others. Those little touches made the movie enjoyable also.

I smiled at that scene too, not because it was unbelievably funny, but because it reminded me of the kind of jokes that were commonplace on this show during its golden years. They've become all too infrequent over the last 5 or 6 seasons, so much so I barely watch the show anymore. But that joke (and plenty others in the movie) was smart and funny and insightful and goofy, just like an entire episode used to be back in the day.

Hard to pick the absolute funniest moment since I can't even remember all of them, but a quick vote from me for the part when Ralph sees Bart's wee wee and says, "I like men now"!!

I loved Marge's line right near the end "Somebody through the GD bomb!" - so unexpected coming from Marge.

Yeah, Marge swearing and the second part of the spider-pig song, "can he swing from a web, no he can't, he's a pig" Just so obvious and Homer-like.

Gotta admit, I found quite a few parts that were equally amusing. A $12 well spent IMO.
Homer doing the spider pig is now my new ringtone.
