We all know who it is that is going to get 5 stars, so I'll avoid the grandmothers basement jokes.
But the pattern doesn't look to bad, just stupidly fast.
Either way can't wait for the new one, and to play online.
no, that's just how fast the song is. almost every Dragonforce song has that kind of tempo, they're nuts
Ah... I just saw the playing time of the video was like 2 minutes long (I think most on GH2 are longer than that), and, having played a ton of Guitar Hero 2, the notes appear to be coming waaaay faster than any song I've played on GH2... to the point that it looks sped up to me. There are plenty of fast/tight spots in GH2 and nothing comes as fast as those notes appear in the video. The guy playing in the background (along with the stage effects) look faster than usual too. Must be just me I guess.
i wonder if they'll offer free replacements for people who smash their guitars on this one
It is really interesting to me that someone would put all the time and effort into learning to play that on GH instead of learning it on a guitar. Well...I guess people could do both. I've only played GH once, Im guessing it is easier to learn than guitar?
Holy crap... I think I'll just sell my GH2 and guitars, because I'm never getting anywhere close to that kind of good... I stumble like a drunk monkey all around hard... Expert is like this insane thing I don't even attempt.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
That is INSANELY hard to play at that speed, let alone play.
Yeah, that didnt come out right. Obviously that is an impossible song to play (I play guitar btw), not the best example. But Ive seen other videos of guys playing GH where their fingers are moving with enough speed and coordination to actually play the songs on guitar. Just seems odd to me.

the song is cutoff (Through The Fire and Flames is over 7 minutes long) and doesn't even show the 3 minute solo, which would be the hardest part. and though i've never played guitar hero, the song in that video isn't sped up at all and the notes match exactly, so i'm pretty sure that's the speed you'd see in the game
Listening to that Dragonforce song it's more picking than finger movement on the frets that is insane. Finding some of the tab seems to confirm a little bit of that.

I'm so looking forward to embarassing myself on this song, but am looking even more forward to being able to play the real version of Knights of Cydonia by Muse!
I guess it’s more fun to play GH then actually playing the guitar. It quick and easy to learn, because the buttons are all in one row rather than having to know the right notes, getting the correct finger positions also learning the songs to play on the guitar would take longer then just plugging in your 360 and jamming away. I still like playing my friends guitar once in a while. Im thinking of buying an acoustic and really learning how to play the guitar, rather than tabs and easy songs.

I hear ya. I would think actual guitar players would scoff at the fact some people think GH is the same as playing a real guitar. Myself I am not a guitar player but I would much rather learn a real guitar than the 5 button GH thingy. My question is why don't they have a game that uses and teaches on a real guitar? I am sure they could use some soundrecognition software and go from there. Maybe they are saving that for GH 10...
