Bizarre. I'm not sure doing this improves the credibility of the race or further ruins it. Of note, the new leader, Alberto Contador, was implicated to an extent in Operation Puerto, and was a member of Liberty Seguros (allegedly an incredibly dirty team that eventually morphed into Astana). A lot of innuendo floating around on him as well. My hope is Cadel Evans or Leipheimer manages to pull out the win, as at least I've never heard any rumours about either of them.
