Sorry to make a new thread but I wanted to avoid spoilers. I just got back from Chapters and they were sold out. I'm about to try a walmart or something. Anyone seen any around in the NW?

Chinook Chapters has 50+ Copies.

Dalhousie and Crowfoot locations have a bunch of copies too.

Shoppers Drug Mart is $10 below cover price and cheaper than Staples, Costco, etc. everywhere sells Harry Potter dude, think outside the box and avoid the bookstores. I seriously saw like 500 copies @ Costco today.

The Superstore in McKenzie still had quite a few yesterday.

Don't know if they still have some today or not.

The northeast Costco had mountains of them at around noon today ... at least 200-300 on display and who knows how many in stock. I think the price is $23.99, which is probably as cheap as you'll find.

Chapters is sold out all over the city, but new shipments are here Monday or Tuesday.

The cheapest I seen was Costco, book was on sale for ~ $23.

By this time I am sure 90% of the Harry Potter fan base has read the book 3 times so I am sure you could find someone to borrow it form

Chapter's was dumb dumb dumb in all of this. Many outlets only ordered enough to cover pre-orders it seems. They could have ordered more but seem to have assumed everyone who wanted the book had it pre-ordered. They lost a bunch of business because of it on the weekend. I was in Chapter's on Sunday where I was going to pick it up, as I looked for other books for no more than a 5-10 minutes atleast 10 other people asked staff where the heck it was. I simply went over to Atlantic Superstore where they had boxes of the book at the end of every aisle. They had boxes and boxes in the back as well from what the staff were saying.

Not sure what happened with some Chapters this around. I never had any problems getting Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince as every Chapters had mountains and mountains of them when they came out. In fact pre-order people felt rather stupid waiting in the huge pre-order line while everyone else walked in, grabbed the book and paid for it within a minute or two. Major screw ups at some Chapters outlets this time around.
