Just got back too. This an amazing movie. I hate the "Save the world movies", but this was insanly good.

Dialog was great. CG Awsome! Shia Lebeouf was excellent in it. Even my fiance loved it.

Go see this movie.

I saw it as well... just loved it. So true to the good old Transformers I grew up with (well, other than the physical mods you have to look past), and great action to go with it.

Having the original Prime voice just seemed to tie it all together too.. made it feel like the same mythology.

Is Megatron any good? Does he still change into the kickass gun?

From what I've heard Hakan, they've made Megatron change into a jet now, not a gun. Friend of mine is a real fan and got totally p!ssed that they wouldn't sign the same guy who did Megatron's voice like they did for Optimus Prime.

I saw it and thought it was beyond dreadful, like if Michael Bay had done a parody of a Michael Bay movie.

Too long, too cheesy, too busy, too many one-dimensional characters, too many cheeseball lines.

And what the hell happened to Starscream? He killed those jets above the city and then...?

Transformers was AWESOME. In the theatre I was in people CLAPPED at the end! Starscream flew away from earth at the end after some credits.

Michael Bay knows how to create awesome action, even if you dont like his movies you gotta love the action. Overall, I had HIGH expectations going into this movie, and I was blown away.

How did you guys see it so soon? My big beef is that they made them all have mouths to be able to emote to the audience and Optimus Prime looks ridiculous with his mouth instead of the faceplate. Megatron is voiced by Hugo Weaving (the agent guy in Matrix and the Elf leader in LOTR) which is pretty dumb since Hugo is totally unrecognizable behind all the effects added to the voice. They should have just gone with the original Megatron (Frank Welker).

Megatron's a jet? Bizzrutal.

Jet or not Michael Bay can deliver a steaming pile of crap like no one else in Hollywood.

Yes, Megatron is a jet, but it matters not since he spends most of his existence in the movie as a robot. The jet thing actually works pretty well. If you're hung up on what the characters transform into, you're not going to like this movie anyway.... none of the characters are the same.

But Megatron comes across the same: ruthless and unquestionably in-charge. I enjoyed that incarnation of the character, and Megatron was my fave as a kid.

Megatron is in his Cybertron mode. His arms do transform into a canon at one point.

Big ass gun = lame. For a movie anyways.

Prime's faceplate comes down when in battle. There flame sword comes out too.

Starscream left earth at the end after the main credits.

I loved it! I am a fan of the Original series and movie and I thought they did an excellent job. As discussed above, there were a few things that bugged me since there were differences from the original stuff, but overall it was done quite well with some lines from the movie thrown in.

I had no problem with bare bones character growth and cheesy lines, since it's basically a summer blockbuster action movie and that's what I expect.

P.S. Megan Fox is insanely hot.

Default Saw the movie too

It was a great movie compared to what I've seen this summer (Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Evan ALmighty). I haven't seen the Die Hard sequel yet so I don't know how it's compared to Transformers. My son liked it too that even when we were driving home he was still in awe.

I want to buy a Camaro....not. The product placement was sickening but then the cartoons and movies were all about selling toys, so I guess I can't complain too much.

I had very low expectations for this but the movie turned out to be good for a summer-fun-blockbuster movie.

Shia Lebeouf as Sam was great, Megan Fox was hot, and everyone else was lame. The transformers weren't given enough characterization, not that I expect a lot but give us something!

Still, enjoyeable, and how about that US military....

I have one point to make here, for all of you who want some intricate and intelligent plot line. This isn't Schindler's List, alright? Its an eye candy filled, summer time sci-fi action epic about alien robots that are battling to save earth and human kind.

Take the movie for what it is, damn it! If you want some life changing drama then go watch A Mighty Heart. Just don't bloody complain when it's lacking in computer graphics and adrenaline filled action sequences.

All I can say is OMFG that was awesome. The visual effects were amazing. The big battle at the end was filled with action. I loved Bumblebee and Optimus Prime rocked. This movie was even better than I expected. A lot of people clapped at the end of the movie, which was kind of neat. I can't wait for Transformers 2.
