Default Ad for South Korean city uses Calgary skyline

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/sto...y-skyline.html

A British firm has transplanted the Calgary skyline from Western Canada to South Korea for a recent ad in a popular magazine.

In the Economist, a full-page ad encouraging businesses to set up offices in Gwangyang is set to a shot of the Calgary skyline, complete with the Calgary Tower.

The ad also flags several potential business ventures for the area, including steel and even shipbuilding, which it places roughly near the Stephen Avenue Mall.

....

Bruce Graham, president and CEO of Calgary Economic Development, called having the city's skyline borrowed "a first."

...

Graham said initially he thought, "Hey, this isn't right," but now considers it a compliment.

I love the pic they use in that article, looks likes someone took some 4MP camera on top of the CBC building along Memorial and took a few shots.

Priceless.

It's from the CBC Calgary webcam:

In regards to the article, Just doing a image search on Gawngyang, I don't think they have a single building in the city over fifteen stories tall. It's a port and industrial city with no centralized core... pretty much the opposite of Calgary. It would be like Red Deer using skyline images of Hong Kong in its promotional material.
